One brings Seed Barrage, Bramble Volley, Harvest, Seed Barrage, Bramble Volley, Tangling Growth Best loadout with allied Acrid (generally) Seed Barrage/Drill, Bramble Volley, Tangling Growth % Cooldown reduction like Alien Head or Bandolier is great since it has a long cooldown. This is what makes Rex great in singleplayer, it even makes Mithrix pretty easy! It's also good for multiplayer if you have allies with a small radius of solid AoE like Artificer. It's only really usable with Seed Barrage (Drill requires CC) and Bramble Volley. It's not great with allies that are always flying around like Loader and Mercenary since they won't be on the ground to pick it up! It's good with Purity as long as an ally is dealing lots of damage for you. The projectile itself also does decent damage. But it's not like you won't cover the floor with fruit for everyone quite quickly. You will still need to pick up some of your own fruit since you don't have Tangling Growth, though. It's also good to help immobile survivors not die to hit-scan beams while you tank for them if they are squishy. However, in multiplayer it is one of the only ways to heal allies! Plus it heals them by %health so it's great for letting those like MUL-T tank for you. That balance is far too difficult to maintain on stage 6+ of singleplayer if you have no CC. To use Harvest effectively you need both survivability since you need to be near enemies to pick up fruit, and damage to kill the enemy and harvest the fruit. The CC is just so important for singleplayer since Rex is largely immobile. It's okay but usually outclassed by Tangling Growth in singleplayer. It's good with any loadout combination and most items. ![]() This is just more sustain and mobility if you're singleplayer or tanking for the team. It could be good if it weren't for how small the teleporter zones are. Seed Barrage can be used with any Loadout.Īlthough you don't self damage like Bramble Volley, it's not worth using because the healing that Bramble gives is too good to pass on. You will want mobility items since you aren't gonna be so tanky at times. Items with on-kill effects are good with it since you deal lots of damage. It's also great in singleplayer since most items work well with Barrage, except cooldown reduction items. Seed Barrage is great in multiplayer if your ally at least has some form of mobility or tankiness, so they can hold their own while you discard your health. This one is a bit more versatile than Drill. Since Drill keeps you at a higher health most of the time, his alternate Utility (Bramble Volley) is better since you can usually afford to enter melee. People act like Drill is less aggressive than Barrage, but Drill allows you to play much more aggressively and get away with it.ĭrill is only good if you have your default Special (Tangling Growth) since you need the CC to keep it consistent. If you enjoy using Drill, you can also use it in singleplayer just fine. Purity is also good with Drill as long as you have an ally that will take luck-based items for you. Seed Barrage can theoretically proc more than Drill, but you can hardly keep it up without losing too much health. It's great when you're playing with survivors who have little use for Backup Mags and/or proc items, because Drill does a lot more damage upfront with Backup Mags, and it can activate proc items pretty well. This is not only because you don't self-damage, but Barrage will punish you for being tanky since it does %health self-damage. Drill is good on multiplayer if you are with allies who are immobile and squishy since it lets you tank easily. ![]()
